OZ Magazine

Welcome to OZ Magazine Information!
Initially started in Australia by Richard Neville and Martin Sharp, Neville decided to take
OZ Magazine to London in 1967. It soon became the mouth piece of the counter culture, featuring
articles, adverts and stunning graphics that were the mood of the times.
1970 say the end of the permissive sixties and the publication of the infamous OZ Magazine School Kids
issue that resulted in the prosecution of Neville, Dennis and Anderson. Released on appeal
the OZ magazine never again reached its' former hights and by 1973 it was closed after just
48 issues.
The combination of contemporary content and images, together with a fairly short run have
made OZ Magazine ahighly collectable and prized publication.
